Do you have car parking?

Yes. There is ample off-road parking at the rear of the property near the entrance to the B&B. Assistance with luggage on arrival is available. The parking area is gravel and the entrance is approached by a paved path leading to a step into the reception area.

We intend to arrive at night; is there outside lighting?

There are a number of motion-sensitive outside lights and the entrance is well lit at night.

What facilities do the bedrooms have?

All our bedrooms are en-suite with walk-in showers. The bedrooms are all carpeted with floor rugs. There are ceiling lights and two bedside lights in each room. All rooms have WiFi, a remote TV, radio alarm and hospitality tray with cordless kettle. The shower rooms are lit with spot lights or down lighters and shaver lights.

I have limited mobility; what difficulties will I have?

The two ground floor rooms have a step or two steps down to enter the room.

There is a variable amount of space around the beds, but because of the steps the rooms are not suitable for wheelchair users.

On the first floor, rooms 3 and 4 are on one level but there is a step up to rooms 5 and 6.  The doors to the shower rooms are approximately 70cm wide. The showers have a step up to enter of approximately 15cm. The en-suite to Room 1 has a step up of approximately 20cm to access the room. The shower to Room 2 has an additional step up into the shower cubicle.

The reception area has non-slip ‘karndeen’ flooring with a coir door mat. There is also a guest fridge, leaflet racks and a book shelf. The door to Room 1 is located off this area. Room 4 is located at the end of the corridor. Rooms 5 & 6 are accessed by a step up onto a carpeted landing area.

What if there is an emergency?

As we live on the premises, we are nearly always on hand to offer assistance. There are emergency numbers in the room information folders and hospital and local doctor contacts. The property holds a full fire certificate with smoke alarms and emergency lighting. There is a night bell by the door marked PRIVATE on the first floor.
